Simple Surf & Turf

Looking for an easy yet luxurious dinner packed with protein and flavor? This Keto Surf & Turf recipe is the perfect combo of juicy steak and buttery shrimp. Made with simple ingredients and ready in under 30 minutes, it’s a great way to enjoy a restaurant-quality meal at home. Pair with your favorite veggies or a crisp salad for a satisfying, nutrient-dense dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ribeye or filet mignon steaks
  • 8–12 large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter, divided
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Instructions:

Cook the Steaks: Season steaks with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side (or to your preferred doneness). Remove and let rest.

Sauté the Shrimp: In the same pan, add 1 tbsp butter and minced garlic. Toss in shrimp, seasoning with paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

Finish with Butter & Lemon: Lower heat, add the remaining butter, lemon juice, and parsley. Stir to coat the shrimp in the buttery sauce.

Serve & Enjoy: Plate the steak with shrimp on top. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the dish and serve immediately.

Pair with roasted asparagus or a side salad for a balanced, keto-friendly meal!
