A Visit to Full Circle Lavender Farms

Joseph Adams, Owner and Founder of Full Circle Lavender Farms in Maple City, MI

Lavender Fields Forever

We recently had the joy of visiting Oryana employee turned farmer Joe at his family-run farm, Full Circle Lavender. It was inspiring to see someone we know and love from our co-op community follow his passion and turn it into an agricultural venture. Walking through the fields, we were in awe of the rows of vibrant lavender varieties swaying in the breeze, each one bursting with its own unique fragrance and color. Everywhere we looked, pollinators were at work, with bumblebees, honeybees, and butterflies all thriving among the blooms. It was a reminder of the incredible harmony between people, plants, and the environment when things are grown with care.

Nestled in the scenic beauty of Maple City, Joe’s farm is a true family affair. Together, they have created a welcoming space where the community can slow down, breathe deeply, and immerse themselves in the lavender harvest. Visitors are invited to take part in u-pick lavender, gathering fragrant bundles under wide-open skies. The farm stand showcases an array of hand-crafted lavender products such as candles, sachets, hydrosols, essential oils, and even culinary lavender, each one made with the same thoughtful, pesticide free, herbicide free, and synthetic fertilizer free practices that define the farm. Every crop is tended by hand, ensuring not only quality but also an eco-conscious approach that honors the land.

Full Circle Lavender is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and you can also find Joe and his family at the Glen Arbor Farmers Market on Tuesdays. Or, if you cannot make it out to the fields, stop by Oryana to bring home a piece of his harvest in the form of soothing, fragrant products that truly capture the essence of summer.
