Oryana has been an invaluable asset to the community for over 50 years. Our longevity is a credit to our generous and engaged owners and the vision of our Board of Directors. Every board member brings their own unique experience and expertise to the benefit of our co-op.

What To Expect
The board is elected by an owner-only vote at our General Ownership Meeting every April. Each member of the nine-person board serves a three-year term before they are up for re-election, if they choose to serve again.
Monthly meetings. The board meets once per month (usually the third Thursday) to review co-op policy and provide strategic guidance to the General Manager. Learn what the board does – and does not – do.
Meeting minutes. Minutes are published after board approval for the public to review. View past meeting notes.
Retreats and training. Our board frequently conducts training and learning sessions to better understand the cooperative business model, assess the co-op’s success, and learn new skills.
How to Get Started
To join the Board, you must be an active owner. We also encourage prospective board members to sit in on monthly meetings, attend Oryana events, and learn about our bylaws.
