EVENT: Film Screening of “Food and Country”

Oryana Community Co-op invites you to join us for a Community Film Night on Wednesday, October 14 at the beautiful Milliken Auditorium. Our feature, Food and Country, offers an eye-opening look at the United States’ food system. Explore the very human toll of industrialized agriculture and food manufacturing, a monolithic enterprise that is equal parts entrenched and precarious.
We’re joined by a selection of our agriculture and food-focused non-profits for the evening to help patrons learn more about the impact of today’s farming realities, including:
- Groundwork
- Crosshatch
- Flow
- SEEDS
- Dennos Museum
- Grand Traverse Conservation District : Great Lakes Incubator Farm
The film screening starts 6pm. After the film there will be an opportunity to engage with these great non-profits.
Tickets are $5 and all the proceeds go to the Great Lakes Incubator Farm.
