DESCRIPTION:In October\, both Oryana locations will be hosting a donation drive for Women’s Resource Center (WRC.) \nOn the final day of the Donation Drive\, Saturday\, October 17\, the Women’s Resource Center donation truck will be parked at Oryana. Together\, we can help fill the truck with donations! \nWomen’s Resource Center’s mission is to protect\, shelter\, and empower people impacted by domestic and sexual violence. WRC states “your donations help us to empower survivors living in shelter\, providing warm meals\, school snacks\, and other basic needs so that they can focus on their journey of healing in moving forward.” \nWhile any donation is appreciated\, WRC provided this list of the most requested items: \n\nSoup\, broth\nCups with lids (for kids and adults)\nCanned fruit and vegetables\nCake mix and frosting\nTin foil\nZiplock bags\nPackaged school snacks (lunch supplies)\nRice\nBoxed crackers\nPeanut butter and Jelly\nCoffee and coffee creamers\nInstant oatmeal packs\nKetchup\, mustard\, mayo\, pickles\nLiquid body wash and deodorant\n*Diapers (especially sizes 5\,6\, & 7)\nUnscented baby wipes\nDiaper rash cream\nBaby wash and lotion\nLaundry soap\nPaper towel\nToilet paper

DESCRIPTION:Oryana Community Co-op invites you to join us for a Community Film Night on Wednesday\, October 14 at the beautiful Milliken Auditorium. Our feature\, Food and Country\, offers an eye-opening look at the United States’ food system. Explore the very human toll of industrialized agriculture and food manufacturing\, a monolithic enterprise that is equal parts entrenched and precarious.\n\nWe’re joined by a selection of our agriculture and food-focused non-profits for the evening to help patrons learn more about the impact of today’s farming realities\, including:\n\nGroundwork\nCrosshatch\nFlow\nSEEDS\nDennos Museum\nGrand Traverse Conservation District : Great Lakes Incubator Farm\n\nThe film screening starts 6pm. After the film there will be an opportunity to engage with these great non-profits. \nTickets are $5 and all the proceeds go to the Great Lakes Incubator Farm. \nWatch the trailer here.
