Slow Cooker Dulce de Leche

This is the absolute easiest way to make homemade caramel. You can even do this by simply removing the paper label from the cans and placing the cans in the slow cooker.

2 14-oz cans organic sweetened condensed milk

Divide the condensed milk among 6 4-oz canning jars. Secure lids. Place in a slow cooker and add enough hot water to cover by 1 inch. Cook on low for 12 hours, or until thick and richly colored. Remove jars with tongs and cool to room temperature; refrigerate up to 1 month. Delicious as a dip for apple slices.
