Oven Fried Shrimp
1 lb raw shrimp, peeled, with tails on
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 large egg + 2 tablespoons milk
1 cup bread crumbs
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
black pepper
1 teaspoon sea salt
olive oil
cooking spray
cocktail sauce
lemon wedges
- Heat oven to 400°F. Arrange 3 bowls: one for the flour, one for the egg, and one for the bread crumbs.
- Place flour in first bowl. Beat egg in second bowl and mix in water. Add bread crumbs and spices to the third bowl and combine.
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towel and dredge in the flour. Shake off excess flour. Dip shrimp in egg mixture and coat in bread crumbs.
- Lightly drizzle some olive oil on a rimmed baking sheet. Place the shrimp on the pan and spray them with cooking spray. Bake for 10-12 minutes, depending on their size, until shrimp are opaque and lightly browned. Serve with cocktail sauce and lemon wedges.
