Kohlrabi Fries
Kohlrabi fries are not as crunchy as potato fries but they’re every bit as tasty, especially when dipped in a zingy lemon sauce. Kids will enjoy trying this vegetable prepared in this way.
4 kohlrabis
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
sprinkle of paprika
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Lemon dipping sauce:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon dijon mustard
pinch white pepper
pinch sea salt
Heat oven to 425°F. Peel and cut the kohlrabi into sticks. Add to a bowl and toss with olive oil and seasonings. Spread on a sheet pan and separate the sticks so they roast evenly. Roast for 20 minutes. Turn the fries and then roast for another 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve hot with lemon dipping sauce.
