A Local Winter Meal
Even though it’s frigid and snowy outside, we are fortunate to still have quite a few fresh, local organic vegetables. It feels good, not only to support our local farmers, but to eat food our farmers grew in soil just down the road a few miles from where we live. It’s wonderfully satisfying to compose a meal primarily or perhaps entirely of locally-grown and produced ingredients, especially during this time of year. In this spirit, we present one possible menu that utilizes as many local ingredients as possible. We hope you are inspired to seek out local foods from our produce department and elsewhere in the store (eggs, meat, fish, beans, flour, tea, maple syrup, etc.) to include in your meals this winter.
